Job summary

Aya Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Warren, MI to support students with diverse needs. You will develop and implement IEPs, collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff, and tailor materials to different learning styles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
• Active state teaching certification with Special Education Endorsement issued by DOE.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate with stakeholders.
• Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages engagement and growth.
• Ensure compliance with educational policies and legal requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school activities.
