Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college.
• Valid Alabama teaching certificate in special education.
• Ability to meet suitability criteria for employment and/or certification.

Responsibilities

• Implements students’ IEPs and participates in the IEP team.
• Schedules IEP meetings and uses data for planning and evaluation.
• Employs varied instructional strategies to meet student needs.
• Uses technology to plan, instruct, and document requirements.
• Maintains an organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
• Adheres to policies, reports, and deadlines in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisors.
