Job summary

EDU Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our school community in Illinois. You will collaborate with staff and families to support students with diverse learning needs and to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each learner.

You will modify general education curriculum, provide specialized instruction in small groups, track progress, and communicate regularly with parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education.
• Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to start.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Experience working in schools or with children preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Modify general education curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Provide specialized instruction in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Track student progress and update IEPs throughout the school year.
• Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and IEP team members.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines.
