Washington County Schools (TN) is seeking a SPED Teacher Education to provide developmentally appropriate educational services for students with diverse abilities. The role focuses on adapting programs to meet cognitive, physical, social-emotional, behavioral, and communication needs in line with federal/state requirements.

The teacher will maintain required documentation, conduct IEP meetings, and coordinate with staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid license with appropriate endorsement for Tennessee; First Aid/CPR preferred.
• Must have or be willing to obtain Conflict Resolution/Restraint Training.
• Pre-employment Physical Exam is required.

Responsabilités

• Assumes day-to-day classroom operations, possibly with general ed inclusion.
• Provides direct instruction in classroom, small groups, and 1:1 settings.
• Develops and maintains Student IEPs in the Educational Management System and conducts parent meetings to report progress.
• Cooperatively designs and implements IEPs to improve skill deficits and celebrate progress.
• Plans curriculum and prepares lessons considering individual needs and abilities.
