Washington County Schools (TN) is seeking a SPED Instructional Assistant II to support students with IEPs under a licensed teacher's supervision. The role includes adapting activities, providing classroom assistance, and monitoring student safety and progress.

Requires two years of college credit (48 hours) or an Associate's Degree or passing ParaPro, with willingness to obtain First Aid/ CPR and De-escalation/Restraint certification; a pre-employment physical may be required.

Formación

• Must have two years of college credit (48 semester credit hours) from an accredited university, excluding remedial courses; an Associate's Degree from an accredited university; or a passing score on the Para-Pro exam.
• Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification and De-escalation and Restraint certification.
• Pre-employment Physical Exam required.

Responsabilidades

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments, and materials under the direction of the supervising teacher.
• Assists in designing and utilizing appropriate materials for individual students in regular or special education classrooms.
• Assists in instructing children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits (Early Intervention).
• Assists in maintaining a safe work and play environment and supports modifications or adaptations for students.
• Collaborates with staff, parents, and community resources for the benefit of students and implements IEP objectives as directed.
