Qualifications

• Teaching candidates must hold a valid Tennessee teaching certification in Special Education (Endorsements 144, 145, 460, or 461).
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Knowledge of IDEA and state special education rules/regulations.
• Experience with students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Technology skills to implement academic/behavior interventions; familiarity with EasyIEP and related platforms.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for teaching, assessment, meetings and data management.
• Experience with standard and alternate assessments.

Responsabilités

• Participate in referral and evaluation processes.
• Develop individualized instruction plans (IEPs) and objectives.
• Manage caseload for standard and alternate assessments.
• Deliver lessons in general ed and special education settings based on IEPs.
• Prepare lessons and resources aligned with Hamilton County curriculum.
• Collect data on IEP goals and adjust programs accordingly.
• Collaborate with general education and other special education teachers.
• Coordinate with related service providers for assistive technology.
