Job summary

The Maya Angelou Academy, operated by Maya Angelou Schools See Forever Foundation in Washington, DC, seeks a Special Education Teacher/Case Manager for the Department of Corrections site. Qualifications

• Experience developing IEPs in compliance with IDEA.
• Able to manage students with IEPs and coordinate meetings.
• Capable of multi-grade, multi-content instruction.
• Familiar with reporting requirements (lesson plans, progress reports, gradebook).

Responsibilities

• Deliver multi-content instruction and adapt lessons for varied learner needs.
• Serve as case manager for students with IEPs and conduct IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with staff to support a well-rounded program and share updates.
• Complete required documentation and reporting in a timely manner.
