Maya Angelou Schools and See Forever Foundation in Washington, DC, seeks a Special Education Co-Teacher/Lead IEP Case Manager to support special education students and collaborate with content teachers. This role reports to the Director of Specialized Instruction and ensures YALC campus compliance with IEPs and related processes.

You will design differentiated instruction, monitor IEPs, and coordinate with staff to address learning needs while supporting a restorative, inclusive school culture.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field (required).
• Must be eligible for OSSE certification within one year of employment (required).
• Experience with opportunity youth at the secondary level.
• Familiarity with research-based instructional methods and curriculum development.
• Knowledge of student-centered instruction and youth development principles.

Mansioni

• Plan backward to align lessons, activities, and assessments.
• Design assessments and incorporate digital tools to measure progress.
• Identify and address social, emotional, and behavioral learning needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, tutors, and staff to analyze data and implement interventions.
• Monitor IEP timelines and ensure compliance with IDEA and DC regulations.
• Maintain records for progress monitoring and data collection.
• Oversee IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans across staff.
• Deliver instruction in modalities used by the program.
