Job summary

State of Colorado’s Division of Youth Services seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to deliver instruction and supports to committed youth under IEP guidance. You will develop and implement IEPs, assess progress, and collaborate with families and staff to ensure compliant educational services.

You will maintain records, participate in MTSS and safeguarding procedures while teaching multi-age learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education License.
• Experience with at-risk or adjudicated youth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect instruction to students with IEPs.
• Develop IEPs in collaboration with parents and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate IEP records and MTSS data in the approved system.
• Deliver standards-based instruction and daily/units aligned to state goals.
• Coordinate with school staff to implement accommodations and modifications.
