AACTE is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Wood River Junction, RI to support students aged 9-22 in both high school and elementary settings. The role emphasizes individualized instruction and collaboration with staff.

You will implement behavioral strategies, maintain documentation, and communicate with guardians. The position offers premium pay up to $58 per hour and comprehensive benefits, with nationwide opportunities across metro and underserved areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or equivalent.
• RI State Certification in Special Education or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with special needs students, preferably in a school setting.
• Experience supporting students aged 9-22, including high school and elementary levels.
• Strong communication, adaptability, patience, and dedication.
• Ability to support students in a classroom environment with a supportive staff team.
• Background check clearance and compliance with school-specific health and safety protocols.
