Job summary

Little City Center for Education in Palatine, IL is seeking a Thrive Special Education Teacher to develop and implement learning goals aligned with residential and day services. You will provide small group instruction to students diagnosed on the Autism spectrum and ensure progress in the general education curriculum.

The role requires a BA/BS or higher in Exceptional/Special Education, experience with autism, and collaboration with a BCBA team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Exceptional/Special Education or a field meeting requirements for an LBS1 endorsement.

Responsibilities

Oversee intensive intervention classrooms and coordinate activities for other teachers.
Develop intensive intervention activities in collaboration with lead teacher and administrators.
Maintain a high intensity classroom structure with para, BCBA, and therapies on a daily basis.
Create and maintain a high intensity curriculum and individualized high intensity programs.
Monitor progress and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings including BCBA and home managers.
Provide supervision and training for paraprofessionals and participate in IEP planning and reviews.
