Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, provides in-district and standalone classrooms for K-12 students with special and alternative education needs across 600+ districts nationwide.

As a teacher, you’ll diagnose and address learning, social, and emotional skill gaps and collaborate with families to deliver SESI’s evidence-based models and CASE framework. You will work with diverse students, develop individualized lesson plans, implement behavior strategies, and

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Use SESI’s instructional models, strategies, and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behaviour management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain the safety of students and staff.
• Maintain student documents such as individualized education plans (IEPs), behaviour intervention plans (BIPs), incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth and progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including to and from locations within the school.
