Job summary

Impact Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher for school-based roles across the Seattle area. The position focuses on delivering SPED services, collaborating with classroom teachers, and supporting students through IEP development and ARD processes.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field and prefer at least one year of K-12 instruction experience, with OSPI SPED endorsement eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, or must be working toward one within 2 years.
  • 1+ years experience delivering rigorous instruction in a K-12 setting.
  • English Language Learner Endorsement (preferred).
  • Certification by OSPI with an endorsement in Special Education (must be eligible).
  • Food handler certification (must be eligible).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Student Special Education Services (70%): Instructional strategies, student growth, classroom management.
  • Planning, Preparation, & Casework (20%): Modify curricula, assist in regular classes, file reports, monitor progress toward goals, develop IEPs with ARD.
  • Development (5%): Participate in trainings, comply with regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
