Qualifications

• Be eligible for TEA probationary certificate through an approved program.
• Knowledge of subjects assigned.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Prepare lessons that reflect accommodation for individual student differences.
• Present the subject matter according to TEA guidelines, board policies, and regulations.
• Employ various instructional techniques and media to match student needs.
• Cooperate with staff to plan and implement goals and methods per district requirements.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher assistant(s) or volunteers.
• Employ technology in the teaching/learning process.
• Assist in selecting books, equipment, and instructional materials.
• Assist students in analyzing and improving study methods.
