Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with ARDC process and IEP goal writing and implementation.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents and staff to develop IEPs through ARDC for each student.
• Implement or modify curriculum and prepare lessons aligned to students’ present levels.
• Plan and use instructional strategies reflecting diverse learning styles and needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curricula and support inclusion.
• Participate in ARDC meetings for students on caseload or new students.
• Assess student learning strengths and weaknesses and plan instructional activities accordingly.
• Present subject matter according to TEKS and ARDC/IEP guidelines.
• Use a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
• Supervise教学 assistants and volunteers; coordinate with campus principal.
