Job summary

The Richardson School is seeking a Special Education Teacher to join its BRAND NEW Sheboygan Campus. This role focuses on developing and tracking IEP goals, planning instruction, and collaborating with stakeholders to support students with significant needs.

We require a Bachelor's degree and Wisconsin DPI SPED certification (Cross-Categorical, Intellectual Disabilities, or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities). Experience with ASD, EBD, and related disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
• State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certification in Cross-Categorical SPED (1801), Intellectual Disabilities (1811), or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (1830).
• Experience with ASD, cognitive delays, EBD, mental health, and related disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and track IEP goals in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Create daily lesson plans based on individual student needs and behavioral goals.
• Establish and maintain a culture of learning in the classroom.
• Provide leadership to staff supporting the classroom.
• Use proactive behavior management aligned with MyPath models.
• Plan and deliver high-quality instruction per IEPs.
• Incorporate new instructional models to meet changing needs.
• Update progress reports per trimester/quarterly schedule.
• Ensure classroom environment supports independence and development.
