Job summary

BASIS Austin seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to deliver high-quality instructional services aligned with IEPs for students with disabilities. You will provide direct services, participate in IEP meetings, and collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices.

Responsibilities include developing intervention plans, writing and updating IEPs, collecting progress data, coordinating service providers, and ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and Texas Special Education certification required.
• Fingerprint clearance as per Texas regulations.
• Eligible for hire in Texas Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct special education services in line with IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement intervention plans for students.
• Write, develop, and update IEPs to meet student needs and state rules.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations.
• Collect and report progress on IEP goals with accurate data.
• Coordinate itinerant service providers and meetings.
• Assist in evaluation processes and case management for students.
• Support differenti ated instruction and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Prepare data for reporting requirements.
