Acceleration Academies in Spanaway, Washington is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a part-time role (up to 30 hours/week). The teacher will support Graduation Candidates with competency-based content, personalize learning, and guide students toward graduation and post-secondary success.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, Washington 6-12 license with ESE endorsement, and 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.
• Washington 6-12 educator’s license with ESE endorsement required.
• 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred).
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support new student enrollment through recruitment and outreach.
• Create Personalized Learning Plans tailored to each student.
• Advise students by maintaining open communication with their support team.
• Monitor attendance, progress and wellbeing to ensure engagement and success.
• Plan and deliver instruction for individuals or groups toward course mastery.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments to guide teaching methods.
• Understand IEPs, ESE and ELL accommodations and document progress toward goals.
• Provide targeted remediation and enrichment based on student needs.
• Contribute to academy initiatives, data reviews and professional development.
