Job summary

The Spartanburg School District Two's Carlisle-Foster's Grove Elementary in Chesnee, SC seeks a Certified Special Education Teacher to design and deliver instruction tailored to students with disabilities, manage IEPs, and collaborate with parents and staff.

Requires SC Certification in Generic Special Education with Multicategorical or LD, bachelor's preferred, 190-day contract; open until filled; immediate start; salary per district schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing individualized instruction based on students' IEPs.
• Assessing student progress and adjusting instruction as needed.
• Using a variety of teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Developing annual IEPs and working closely with parents and support staff.
• Coordinating and delivering special education services to help students achieve their goals.
• Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.
• Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and district policies.

Education

SC Certification as Generic Special Education (02), Multicategorical (21) or LD (2G)

Bachelor degree preferred
