Job summary

Center City PCS is seeking a Special Education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year across grades PreK-3 to 8. The ideal candidate will develop IEPs, deliver targeted instruction, and collaborate with general and special education staff to support diverse learners.

The role requires mastery of CCSS, data-driven instruction, and commitment to inclusive education. Strong communication with families and ongoing professional development are expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Special Education or related field.
• Licensure in Special Education or plans to obtain licensure.
• Strong knowledge of CCSS and Eureka Math; experience with diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Use data sources for IEP development and progress reports.
• Plan and deliver instruction aligned to CCSS and target student levels.
• Write and implement IEPs with input from stakeholders.
• Deliver targeted instruction in small groups or individually; track progress.
• Support development of behavior intervention plans and positive behavior.
• Engage families in progress discussions and IEP decisions.
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers on curriculum.
• Attend PLCs and campus district PDs; participate in planning sessions.
