Job summary

GREEN Charter Schools is seeking a Special Education teacher to join our dedicated team. The role focuses on planning instruction, using data to guide instruction, and maintaining a safe, student-centered classroom aligned with the district's standards.

The position is full-time, contract for 190 instructional days, with salary determined by the SC teacher salary schedule. Benefits include dental, health, vision, paid time off, and an optional 403(b) retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan instruction including curricula, strategies and resources to meet diverse learners.
• Promote student learning by addressing individual differences and using effective instructional strategies.
• Systematically gather, analyze and use data to measure progress and guide instruction.
• Provide a well-managed, safe, student-centered environment that is academically challenging and respectful.
• Communicate effectively with students, families and the school community.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and engage in ongoing professional growth.
• Provide learning experiences and assessments that result in measurable progress.
