Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education.
• Valid South Carolina teaching certificate with appropriate Special Education area.
• Oversees the work of assigned instructional aides and volunteers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret state and federal regulations related to special education.

Responsibilities

• Teaches using evidence-based curriculum and instructional model.
• Plans and prepares for instruction using data and IEP goals to drive grouping.
• Maintains a positive classroom culture and manages behavior and safety.
• Writes, prepares, and leads IEP meetings in compliance with regulations.
