Job summary

Aiken County Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide instruction for students with disabilities in alignment with IEP goals and district standards. The role emphasizes data-driven planning, collaboration with families and staff, and compliant record-keeping.

The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based instruction, maintain progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings, trainings, and policy compliance to support student growth and development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education.
• Valid South Carolina teaching certificate with Special Education area.
• Experience with IEP planning and progress reporting.

Responsibilities

• Teaches using evidence-based curriculum through an evidence-based instructional model.
• Plans and prepares for individual and small group instruction using data and IEP goals to drive groupings.
• Creates a classroom culture conducive to learning and builds rapport with students, parents, service providers and other teachers.
• Maintains accurate records and prepares progress reports as required.
• Writes, prepares, and leads IEP meetings in compliance with regulations.
