Job summary

Valley View Community Unit School District 365U is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Jamie L. McGee Elementary School.

The teacher will collaborate with staff to develop and implement individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals, create a positive learning environment, and employ effective techniques for students with disabilities.

Salary is in accordance with the teacher salary schedule and includes comprehensive fringe benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold Illinois PEL with Special Education Endorsement (PK–Age 21).
• Excellent communication with students, teachers and parents.

VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Special Education teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year.
JOB SUMMARY:
The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for working collaboratively withschool staff to develop and implement effective specialized instruction that meets eachindividual's goals contained within the Individual Education Plan and other targeted
interventions; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; andemploying effective instructional techniques for learners with disabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicants must hold appropriate Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with Special Education Endorsement (PK-Age 21)
• Excellent communication skills with students, teachers and parents
• Knowledge of current teaching techniques for students with disabilities
• Ability to write & implement Individual Education Plans (IEP's)
• Ability to work cooperatively with support personnel on a daily basis
• Satisfactory special education teaching experience
