Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve kindergarten through grade 12. You will deliver services, plan with general education staff, and support individual programs for students.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree, state teaching certificate, and relevant endorsements; additional CPR/health compliance may apply. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred.
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred.
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Collaborate with general education staff for planning and implementation of student programs.
• Participate in team planning and instruction for specialized student needs.
