Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid NYS certification in Special Education (Grades 7-12) required.
• NYSED Fingerprint Clearance.
• Ability to motivate and instruct students.
• Experience in at least one core content area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates an educational climate that promotes success, independence, and safety.
• Completes weekly resource room lesson plans aligned to NYS standards and IEP goals.
• Creates IEPs and, when necessary, FBAs for all students.
• Collaborates with general education teachers to meet individual needs.
• Provide instructional support with classroom accommodations per IEP.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPPA/FERPA and guidelines.
• Attend CPSE/CSE/Ammendment meetings with district representatives.
