See Forever Foundation seeks a Special Education Teacher/Case Manager for New Beginnings Youth Development Center (NB) in Laurel, MD. The role provides individualized instruction and case management to scholars in a secure facility, supporting English/ELA, math, science, and history with flexible, adaptive strategies.

Responsibilities include IEP development, multidisciplinary collaboration, and restorative classroom practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or subject field (required).
• Must have or be eligible for initial certification by OSSE in the appropriate content area (must obtain initial certification within 1 year of employment).
• Knowledge of IDEA and IEP development.
• Experience working with opportunity or justice-involved youth (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery: Facilitate multi-grade, multi-content coursework and adapt lessons to varied learning styles and levels; ensure compliant instructional materials; prepare reports on time.
• Case Management, Compliance, and Reporting: Serve as case manager for students with IEPs; develop and update IEPs; conduct IEP meetings and reevaluations; monitor progress.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, structured learning environment using restorative practices.
• Collaboration, Support, and Guidance: Work with colleagues and staff; participate in meetings; communicate scholar needs and achievements.
• Other Duties as Assigned: Perform duties to maintain a safe and effective teaching and learning environment.
