Job summary

The LifeWorks School in Media, PA is actively hiring for a Special Education Teacher on Special Assignment for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year. We are offering a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for a certified Special Education Teacher.

The role supports students with social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges, collaborates with staff, implements IEPs, and helps create a safe, structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree in Special Education required.
• 3-5 years of special education teaching experience required.
• Pennsylvania certification in Special Education required.
• Pennsylvania Principal/Admin cert preferred.
• Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instructional and behavioral services to students and coordinate coverage with the building principal.
• Assist teachers, counselors, behavior interventionists and administrators in implementing IEPs and ensuring appropriate accommodations and supports.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment with direct student assistance, progress monitoring and documentation.
• Provide direct staff support through observations, instructional coaching and individual supervision.
