Job summary

The LifeWorks School in Media, PA is actively hiring for certified Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year. The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools serving students with social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges.

We offer a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for a certified Special Education Teacher. The Special Education Teacher provides academic and functional instruction to students with Autism or PDD, records progress, develops and monitors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree in Special Education required.
• PA certification in Special Education is also required.
• Content area certifications preferred.
• Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or PDD in a school setting.
• Monitor student progress through data collection and daily observation.
• Develop and monitor IEPs, attend IEP meetings, set and pursue IEP goals.
• Manage student behavior using SMART Program and positive behavior support plans.
