Job summary

Great Salt Bay School in Damariscotta, ME seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join its behavior program for the 2026-27 school year. You will support Pre K–4 students in inclusive settings, collaborating with BCBA and paraprofessionals.

You will design and implement positive behavior support plans and Specially Designed Instruction (SDI), with IEP-guided pull-out services as needed, under a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Maine DOE Special Education Certification 282 PK-6 or conditional candidate.
• Experience or strong interest in behavior intervention and positive support strategies.
• Passion for Pre K through middle school in inclusive settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement positive behavior support plans and SDI.
• Provide services in inclusive settings with pull-out as per IEP.
• Collaborate with BCBA and paraprofessionals to support student needs.
• Participate in district PLCs and mentorship from leadership.
