The Academy for Advancement of Children with Autism (AACA) in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a multidisciplinary team. You will develop and implement IEPs, collaborate with families, and apply evidence-based strategies to support positive behavior and learning.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education or related field.
• Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe) required.
• Experience with students with severe behavioral needs preferred.
• Knowledge of ABA, de-escalation, and individualized supports.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with students' IEP goals.
• Use behavior intervention plans and positive behavior supports effectively.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and behavior specialists.
• Track and document student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress.
• Foster a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and professional development activities.
