Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. seeks a Teacher Assistant for our May Center School locations in Randolph, Norwood, or Mansfield to support students ages 3-21 with Autism and related disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methods.

You will work with lead teachers to help implement individualized education plans, assist with personal care tasks, and document student progress while maintaining open communication with families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Empathy, patience and compassion to support children with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement IEPs and support individualized learning.
• Provide hands-on personal care assistance and manage behavioral crises.
• Promote social skills and communication using positive behavior strategies.
• Create a warm, safe learning environment and document student progress.

As a Teacher Assistant at our May Center School in Randolph, Norwood, or Mansfield you'll be an essential part of our mission to support students ages 3-21 with Autism, Developmental and Cognitive Disabilities, Brain Injury, or Neurobehavioral Disorders in achieving their goals and aspirations. While working with students and using the proven methods of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), you’ll be providing compassionate care, facilitating personalized assistance, and engaging in skill-building activities. Your Impact

• Collaborative Teamwork: Partner closely with lead teachers to bring individualized educational plans (IEPs) to life, ensuring each student's unique needs are met.
• Direct Support: Provide hands-on assistance with personal care tasks and expertly manage behavioral crises, offering unwavering support to students during classroom activities to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Positive Communication: Harness the power of positive behavior support strategies to develop essential social skills, enhance communication abilities, and promote independence among students.
• Supportive Atmosphere: Cultivate a warm, supportive atmosphere where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to embrace their journey of learning and growth
• Documentation and Reporting: Thoroughly document student progress and maintain open lines of communication with parents, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring everyone is informed and involved in each student's educational journey.

What You Bring
