Job description

This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for Special Education professionals passionate about fostering success for children and adolescents exhibiting the most significant challenges and behaviors. You will be part of a team serving students from elementary through high school, utilizing evidence-based strategies within a Setting 4 program.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license - Tier 3 or Tier 4 only (required for consideration)
• Prior experience in high-needs Special Education settings strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to support students with significant behavioral and developmental disabilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Adaptability and resilience working with complex caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized special education instruction, adapting to a broad range of student needs in a Setting 4 environment
• Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff
• Employ de-escalation strategies and proactive behavior supports to ensure a safe, supportive classroom
• Maintain accurate records and data for progress monitoring and compliance purposes
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings as required
