Sunbelt Staffing seeks a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a center-based classroom near Andover, MN. This contract role runs through early June 2027 and offers a full-time schedule with a stable caseload of about 11 students, emphasizing collaboration with families and school staff.

You will develop IEPs, monitor progress, and apply evidence-based behavior strategies in-person, ensuring compliant, student-centered instruction across the year.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota PELSB SPED license (Tier 1/2 accepted; Tier 3/4 preferred)
• Current credential in Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
• Experience in center-based elementary SPED environments
• Ability to adapt instruction and classroom management to student needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration with educators, families and staff
• In-person teaching is required (no virtual)

Responsibilities

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-aged learners as a Special Education Teacher in a center-based setting. This role, available immediately and extending through early June 2027, focuses on impacting the lives of approximately 11 students, with the potential for slight changes in caseload based on enrollment shifts. This full-time position offers the chance to develop meaningful relationships with students, school staff, and families, ensuring a collaborative approach to educational success.

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (Tier 1 or Tier 2 accepted; Tier 3 or Tier 4 preferred)
• Current credential in Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
• Experience working in center-based or similar elementary special education environments is highly valued
• Ability to adapt instruction and classroom management strategies to meet individual student needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
• In-person teaching is required (virtual instruction is not permitted)
