The Special Educator will work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, and a passion for helping students reach their full potential.
As a Special Educator at Strides Therapy & Educational Services, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational journey of students with diverse learning needs. Collaborating closely with a team of fellow Special Educators, your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored support to enhance students' communication and language development within educational settings across Alaska.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field.
Current Virginia Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement appropriate to the assigned grade level and instructional setting, or eligibility to obtain Virginia licensure.
Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, specially designed instruction, and behavior management strategies.
Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families.
Expected Hours per week: 7.5 hours a day; 37.5
