Job summary

Metro Therapy, Inc. is seeking a qualified Special Education teacher to serve students in East Hampton, NY. You will provide instructional support in school, preschool, or early intervention settings and ensure instruction aligns with IEP/IFSP goals.

A Masters in Special Education or Education and a NYSED certification are required. Metro supports benefits, CEUs, and professional growth within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Special Education or Education from an accredited program.
• Must have a current special education teacher certification from NYSED.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual or group educational instruction to children in school, preschool, or early intervention programs.
• Deliver educational instruction as mandated in the IEP or IFSP.
• Assess and document the progress of each student through formal and informal tests and measures.
• Create materials and lesson plans.
• Oversee teaching assistants and aides, as needed.
