Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring an Exceptional Education Teacher to support students in Franklin, TN. You will develop IEPs, provide individualized instruction, and create inclusive learning environments that promote student success. You’ll work with a collaborative district and a therapist-run team.

The role begins August 2026 for the full school year, with a 1.0 FTE, full-time schedule and competitive hourly pay up to $50 per hour.

Qualifications

• TN certification for Special Education Teaching with Interventionist or Comprehensive Endorsement
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education required
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
• Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects
• Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation
