Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Special Education Teacher supports students with special needs by delivering instruction aligned to district curriculum, implementing IEPs, monitoring progress, and fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment that promotes academic, social, and daily living skills.

Positions

• 6-8th Grade Special Education Teacher (English only)
• 2-4th Grade Special Education Teacher (Spanish Required)
• Prek-1st Grade Special Education Teacher (Spanish Required)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and inform instruction.
• Develop and implement IEPs and behavior plans in collaboration with staff and families.
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and outside agencies to support student success.
• Communicate effectively with students and families; serve as a liaison between home and school.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district procedures and legal requirements.
• Support school initiatives, family engagement, and student activities.
• Participate in professional development and ongoing learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and perform routine classroom tasks, including computer use.
