Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Resource) to support elementary students on a contract basis. The role involves providing targeted instruction, developing and reviewing IEPs, and collaborating with general education staff and families.

Schedule is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in a thriving elementary setting. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $39.00 per hour with benefits including healthcare, housing, and meals/incidentals.

Qualifications

• Current Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota teaching certification in Special Education (required; must be included with resume)
• Experience with elementary-age students, preferably in a resource or inclusion setting
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Effective communication and collaboration with educators, students, and families
• Organizational ability to manage caseloads and documentation in a timely manner
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and resource support to elementary students with varying abilities
• Develop, implement, and regularly review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district policies
• Engage with families to provide updates and support student success both in and out of the classroom
