The Special Education Teacher provides academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting; monitors student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods; observes and records student progress daily; develops and monitors student IEPs, reports, goals, objectives, attends IEP meetings, establishes, maintains, and works toward student goals as outlined in the IEP; manages student behavior through individualized motivational systems, a SMART Program and positive behavior support plans.
