LifeWorks Day School in Levittown, PA is actively hiring certified Special Education Teachers for the 2026-2027 Academic School Year to provide academic and functional instruction to students with Autism or PDD and to monitor progress through data collection and IEP management.

A $10,000 Sign-On Bonus is offered. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s in Special Education and PA certification; content-area certifications and prior behavior-health experience in schools are preferred.

• PA certification in Special Education required.
• Content area certifications preferred.
• Prior experience working with students with behavioral health challenges within a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or PDD in a school setting.
• Monitors student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods.
• Observes and records student progress daily; develops and monitors IEPs, reports, goals and objectives, attends IEP meetings.
• Manages student behavior through individualized motivational systems, the S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans.

The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. Our unique balance of academic rigor and a continuum of evidence based educational/therapeutic supports make LifeWorks the regional provider of choice.

The Special Education Teacher: provides academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting; monitors student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods; observes and records student progress daily; develops and monitors student’s IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attend IEP meetings, establish, maintain, and work toward student goals as outlined in the IEP; manages student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans.
