LifeWorks Day School in Levittown, PA is hiring a certified Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. A $10,000 Sign-On Bonus is offered for a qualified candidate.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or PDD in a school setting.
• Monitor student progress through data collection and daily observation.
• Develop and monitor IEPs, attend IEP meetings, and work toward goals as outlined in the IEP.
• Manage student behavior using individualized motivational systems and positive behavior supports.

The LifeWorks Schools are licensed specialty therapeutic day schools for students in middle and high school effected by social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges. LifeWorks comprehensive educational curriculum is individualized and designed to actively engage each student throughout the day to achieve positive, pro-social behavioral and educational outcomes. The Special Education Teacher: provides academic and functional instruction to students diagnosed with Autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorder in a school setting; monitors student academic and functional achievement through data collection, observation, and other quantitative methods; observes and records student progress daily; develops and monitors student’s IEP, reports, goals, objectives, attend IEP meetings, establish, maintain, and work toward student goals as outlined in the IEP; manages student behavior through individualized motivational systems, S.M.A.R.T. Program and positive behavior support plans.
