Job summary

Eleutheria is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Leander, TX. This full-time role focuses on ALE self-contained classrooms, developing IEPs, PBIS, and collaboration with families and staff.

You'll lead a classroom, supervise paraprofessionals, conduct progress assessments, and participate in IEP meetings. A TX teaching certificate is required; master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Special Education Teaching Certificate is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education is required.
  • Master’s degree in Special Education preferred.
  • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop lesson plans with accommodations aligned to IEP goals and state standards.
  • Adapt general education curriculum to meet individual student needs.
  • Implement and manage classroom PBIS program, including behavior tracking and parent communication.
  • Supervise and direct paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom.
  • Attend and lead IEP meetings; write updates and maintain compliant documentation.
  • Conduct assessments and track student progress toward IEP goals.
