Care Options for Kids is seeking a School-Based Special Education Teacher to support inclusive learning environments where students with diverse needs can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

The role adapts general education curriculum for mild-to-moderate disabilities while delivering core instruction to students with more intensive needs and collaborating with general education staff and families to implement individualized strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Special Education Teacher.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Degree in Exceptional Student Education / Special Education preferred.
• Active General Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement in MO.
• Strong organizational and instructional planning skills.
• Ability to adapt curriculum for diverse learning needs.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Adapt general education curriculum for students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Deliver core academic and foundational instruction to students with more intensive needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to implement individualized strategies.

Pay: 39$-44$ per hour
