Job summary

Amergis in Chicago, IL seeks a Special Education Teacher to provide quality services to K-12 students under the SPED Program Administrator. You will collaborate with the team to plan and implement student programs, providing special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consulting with general education staff.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (preferred), valid state teaching certificate, and at least one year of teaching experience (preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations.
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred.
• State endorsement: LBS1 preferred.
• CPR/Health requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs with the SPED team.
