Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a High School Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in the Forest Lake, MN area. This in-person, full-time role runs 7:15-3:15 and serves 9th-12th grade students with an emphasis on IEP goals and collaboration with school teams.

The position supports therapy plans, documentation, and ongoing mentorship as part of a teacher- and therapist-run organization committed to equity and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education or Related Field.
• Minnesota Special Education Teacher license through PELSB (active).
• Previous experience working in the classroom setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive classroom setting for all learners.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams.
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills.
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
