Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Texas TEA license with Special Education certification.
• Knowledge of IDEA, ARD processes, IEP development, and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• School-based experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide specialized instruction aligned with state standards and individual goals.
• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse needs of students with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with special education requirements.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff for student success.
• Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with families.
• Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom management techniques.
