Bridge Crossing Academy is a Special Purpose Private School licensed by the Maine Department of Education and serves students grades K – 8.

Our Environment: focuses on the individual needs of each student. We have a low student/teacher ratio which helps assist students in steady growth academically. Our classroom BHP’s and Clinical Staff specialize in the treatment and education of our students with a wide array of mental health diagnoses including mood disorders, complex trauma, attachment disorders. ASD and social and emotional supports.

Responsibilities include: curriculum and lesson planning, ongoing assessments, progress reports and progress monitoring, teaching and supervision of education support staff and classroom management.

Qualified candidate: must hold a degree in Education and be certified or eligible for Special Education (282) certification. Strong emphasis on teamwork are essential and the understanding of a student’s social and emotional health is critical to our student’s success.
