Job summary

Ampersand Therapy in Boulder, CO seeks a Special Education Teacher to support students in an autism classroom serving elementary and middle school students. You will provide individualized instruction and implement IEPs within a structured, supportive learning environment tailored to each student’s academic and behavioral needs.

You’ll partner with a collaborative school district and receive support from our therapist-owned and operated team, with a full-time, school-year schedule and benefits

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.
• Experience supporting students with autism preferred.
• School-based experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Provide specialized instruction tailored to students’ needs
• Support students with autism through structured routines and individualized strategies
• Implement positive behavior support strategies and maintain a supportive classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs
