Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in Aurora, CO. You will develop IEPs, provide individualized instruction, and create inclusive learning environments that help students succeed.

You’ll work with a collaborative district and a supportive, therapist-run team. This is a full-time role for the 2026–2027 school year, with a competitive hourly pay up to $65 and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid CDE teaching license with SPED endorsement.
• Fingerprinting clearance required.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.
• School-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
• Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a structured environment.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation.
• Adapt curriculum for diverse learning needs.
• Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning.
